Financial Donations
Money specifically raised to purchase stock at a library will always be used to buy materials, increase programs, and enhance services for the library.
If you’d like to make a contribution, speak to your local library staff about how to make a donation directly to us. Another option is to donate through PayPal.

We’re happy to accept donated books in good condition. We do reserve the right in determining what to keep, donate, or sell. Due to the size of the library, we are not able to accept all materials, such as magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias, etc. The decision determining what will be accepted is made by the library’s staff. Call the library before dropping off your donation to see if they will fit in our collection: 304-535-2301.
Evidence shows that simply cramming in lots of extra books doesn’t improve the library experience for users. It’s important to have the right books for that library. Books will get withdrawn or moved elsewhere if there’s no local demand for them.
Bolivar-Harpers Ferry Public Library sells or donates excess materials, so your donations are very welcome even if we are not able keep them on our shelves.
