Turkey Trot 2022

The library, in collaboration with Jefferson County Parks & Rec., Potomac Valley Audubon Society, and Bolivar Bread Bakery, are hosting a Turkey Trot from November 14-30, 2022.
Your goal is to complete all 5 trails. Collect a sticker from each trailhead and the bakery to place on your Trot Form. To be included in the the prize drawing, return your completed form by December 1st. Submit your form at the library or email a photo to email@example.com. Winners will be announced on December 2, 2022.

Q: What are the trails?
Sam Michaels Park- 235 Sam Michael’s Ln, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425
Trail Guide: Try one or more trails. Stickers located at Baseball Field Trailhead.
James Hite Park- 25-45 Hite Rd., Kearneysville, WV 25430
Trail Guide: Walking Loop. 2 miles.
Washington St. Trail- 151 Polk St., Harpers Ferry, WV 25425
This path goes from the library to Bolivar Bread Bakery. Go inside for a sticker, then back to the library for a distance of 1.7 miles.
Bolivar Nature Park- 264 Jefferson St., Bolivar, WV 25425
Park at the end of the Quality Inn lot. Follow the numbers/blue sign posts for the trail. 0.22 miles.

Q: Where will I find the stickers?
A: The Stickers will be located at the trailheads in each location, except for Washington Street Trail, where the stickers will be located inside Bolivar Bread Bakery.
Q: When can I submit my form?
A: Once you have completed all five trails, and have a sticker on each trail, you can submit your form to the library. Though they are due December 1st, you can return them as soon as you are done.

Q: Do I have to have a library card to participate?
A: No! Anyone is free to join in this fun challenge. But did you know that if you are a West Virginia resident, you can get a library card here for free?
